its seems that to make a menu / category list in a side module you have to show search results? correct? (i saw this on the bmx bike demo website on front page of storeburst)

ie. golf shop - i want to show 'Golf Clubs'

can we make the search results view a bit bigger? perhaps the same size as 'similar products' shows

Yes, currently, the categories module works by showing search results of the desired phrase.

Point taken about the search results, and I agree that the images should probably be a little larger.
